Basic information about the project

The overreaching goal of the proposed project is to generate new, unique and applicable knowledge in the field of ageing and age-related disorders by introducing common research focus and increasing research quality and productivity by functionally unifying current research and endorsing research collaborations. Currently, participating research centers are all involved in translational medical research, however, with apparent diverse research topics and expertise. Participating research centers acquire a clear research focus, ageing and age-related disorders, in particular, in some forms of cancer, chronic inflammation and degenerative disorders. This clear joint research focus of the participating research centers integrates many of apparently diverse research topics and expertise under a unique research umbrella unifying most of the research interests and, together with sharing of knowledge, experts, samples and resources provides optimal environment for advancing quality research and its productivity.
